Congrats to Nayeong and Johannes for their recently published paper on nanofiltration-based redox-electrodialysis, through design of redox-copolymers!
The work was recently published in ACS Energy Letters, and demonstrates the concept of switching anion-exchange membranes for nanofiltration membranes, through the incorporation of redox-copolymers. The proposed electrochemical system lowers both capital cost of the membranes as well as operating cost, and increases stability towards organic pollutants. The work was carried out in collaboration with Prof. Choonsoo Kim. The research is highlighted in the UIUC Beckman News!
