Congratulations to Ching-Yu on her recent publication investigating the morphological evolution and emergence of helical chirality in camphorsulfonic acid (CSA) templated polyanilines (PANI).

Published in Chemistry of Materials, this study aimed to elucidate the critical points of morphology transition and their corresponding polymer properties during the electropolymerization process of helical PANI. By characterizing the polymer at different stages of growth, cooperative π–π stacking followed by enhanced crystallinity were identified as key factors driving helical self-assembly. The work also demonstrated the structural stability of the helical polymers under ion exchange and electrochemical cycling, providing rational design insights for fabricating helical polymers for optoelectronic, sensing, and separation applications.
