Congratulations to Wangsuk for being selected as a finalist in the 2023 SCS Science Image Challenge with his entry, Ugly Duckling Poly-donuts!
His entry presents polymer electrolyte complexes that can form particles with diverse shapes like bread dough. The electron microscopy image shows an uncommon donut-shaped (or toroidal) particle surrounded by spherical nanoparticles formed when drying the polymer electrolyte mixtures. The image was obtained at the Materials Research Laboratory Facilities and will be displayed in the Willard Airport Cafe in Champaign, IL.
